What is an electricity storage system?
An energy storage unit is the ideal complement to a solar power system, as we do not need as much solar power with our own consumption as is produced on sunny days. The energy storage unit stores the surplus energy produced by the solar system during the day. Thanks to the energy storage, the solar electricity is also available in the evenings, at night and on those days when production is lower than self-consumption.
How does an electricity storage system work?
The solar electricity from the solar system can either be consumed directly, stored or fed into the electricity grid. If more electricity is produced than is needed in the house, this energy flows into the solar storage unit. The storage capacity of battery storage is designed in such a way that the household can be supplied from the evening until early morning by solar power from the battery. Thanks to the modular possibilities of the Swaytronic rack storage battery, the required power capacity can be individually adapted to the power needs of each household. And should the battery become completely empty or the state of charge fall to the predefined level, the system automatically switches back to mains power.
The emergency power supply - an additional security
If there is a power shortage or if the mains power fails and not enough solar power can be produced to cover the self-consumption, our system is able to supply both the batteries and the self-consumption by means of electricity from a generator, which can be connected directly to the inverter. (Function of our SMART Hybrid Inverter)

SMART Each module is equipped with an independent BMS system and communicates with the SMART Hybrid Inverter or with the energy supply system.
SAFE We use only safe cell technologies, such as the lithium iron phosphate battery cell. (LiFePO4) The intrinsic safety of the LiFePO4 technology in combination with the internal battery electronics rules out overcharging, deep discharging as well as short circuits or thermal runaway.
MODULAR - up to 16 modules The battery modules can be connected in parallel, up to a maximum of 16 or 134.4 kWh. The BMS function already provides for this and the modules are coordinated with each other in master or slave mode. Later retrofitting is also possible thanks to our modular design and requires no further adaptation of the system.
SIMPLE AND SUITABLE The modules can be used individually, interconnected and or integrated into existing infrastructures accordingly. Our battery storage systems are compatible with more than 25 inverter brands. We focus on maximum safety, flexibility and simplicity - plug & play.
LIFETIME The service life is more than 20 years. We assume a remaining capacity (DoD) of 80% at 6500 cycles on a situational basis.
