LiPo battery 1S 3.7V to 14S 51.8V | Swaytronic
The voltage - Normal VS. HV
The nominal voltage of a lithium-ion polymer cell is 3.7V. Accordingly, the configuration nominal voltages are 2S-7.4V; 3S-11.1V; 4S-14.8V etc. depending on the circuit.
The nominal voltage basically describes the average voltage of an accumulator in normal operation.
The "HV" cell has a nominal voltage of 3.8V corresponding to 2S-7.6V; 3S-11.4V ; 4S 15.2V etc. - and thus has a nominal voltage 0.1V higher. This is due to additional additives. (e.g. Li2Co3).
The additives increase the stability of the cathode and thus favour the Li+ ion flow.
Nominal voltage:
The nominal voltage is the specified value or volt of a cell. The nominal voltage of an accumulator refers to the corresponding serial circuit.
Example: For a 3S LiPo, the nominal voltage is 11.1V, resulting from the multiplication of 3 x 3.7V.
